Sigler Pharmacy was built on the belief that healthcare should be personal, compassionate, and rooted in community.
As a family-owned pharmacy, where everyone in the family still plays a part in the business, we understand the importance of trust and relationships. We’re not a large corporation or an out-of-town chain — we’re local families serving local families. Every prescription we fill and every patient we help is personal to us because this community is our home, too.
Our family is proud to work alongside a dedicated team that shares our values of kindness, integrity, and personalized care. We believe our patients deserve more than rushed interactions and long waits. They deserve a pharmacy team that knows their name, listens to their concerns, and genuinely cares about their health and well-being.
From helping seniors manage medications to supporting busy families, caregivers, and local businesses, we’re passionate about making healthcare easier and more accessible for the people around us.
Thank you for supporting a local family business. Your trust allows us to continue serving our community the way we believe pharmacy should be — personal, dependable, and centered on people.
Jeff Sigler, founder and owner of Sigler Pharmacy, has a long history of serving the Lawrence community. After graduating from KU in 1984, he worked at the historic Raney Drug Store in downtown Lawrence for 10 years. He then took a break from the retail pharmacy world and opened the first “Macintosh” store (way before Apple stores!) as well as running a successful business writing and selling pharmaceutical study guides to pharmacy schools around the country. During this time, he also helped create and sell a board game, inspired by his love of KU and Division I basketball. After this hiatus from pharmacy, he started working for HyVee in Lawrence, and then decided to venture out on his own and opened the original Sigler Pharmacy on 6th Street in 2005. In the past 20+ years, he has started and/or purchased 2 other locations, one in downtown Lawrence and the other in Lenexa. Because of his support of the Lawrence community over the years, in 2025 he was inducted into the Lawrence Business Hall of Fame.
Suzi & Jeff met while working at the Olathe Kmart while they were still in high school. Married in 1981, they raised their two children in Lawrence. She was a teacher at Kennedy Elementary School in Lawrence for a couple of years before retiring to raising her kids and running the family businesses. She has been vital towards the success of both Sigler Pharmacies and their publishing company, working tirelessly behind the scenes keeping everything (and everyone) afloat. You might see her moving between the 6th street store working as a tech, working in the business office downtown, bringing treats and baked goods to the staff, and running endless errands.
Melissa has jumped around within the family business since she was a child. You would have seen her at Raneys Drug showing customers around the store, helping Jeff with menial tasks behind the counter, or riding the elevator up and down from the store to the basement. As a teenager and young adult, she helped with the publishing business to earn extra cash, and when the first Sigler Pharmacy opened, she worked as a technician and then in the business office. You’ll now find her as a technician at the Lenexa location. Melissa and her husband Denver live in Olathe with their three dogs, Indy, Remy, and Koda.
Andrew still resides in Lawrence with his fiance, Sonya, and their two dogs Bernie and Ozzy. Like Melissa, he has been working within the family business since he was young. He is a graduate of KU in business administration and today, he is vital in helping to run the businesses behind the scenes at the office, being the assistant and internal “IT” guy.
